The Latin American Journal of Telehealth is a quarterly publication of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil and as editorial support the National Center of Technological Excellence of Mexico. It was raised in 2009 and its mission is to disseminate results of scientific research and successful experiences in telehealth, telemedicine, artificial inteligence applied to healthcare, tele-education and digital health. It is an open access electronic publication and accepts articles in Portuguese, Spanish and English. There is no fee to publish an article in the journal. 
As of 2023, it adopted the "Ahead of Print" modality, allowing research to be published with agility and, consequently, rapid recognition of the author. Manuscripts submitted to the Latin American Journal of Telehealth must meet the requirements of the Editorial Policy and the Publication Norms described in the instructions for authors.
For bibliographic citation purposes, the abbreviation of its title is: Latin Am J telehealth.
