Abstract

Objective: to describe the actions of the Telehealth Center at the Federal University of Vales do Jequitinhonha and Mucuri. Methods: this is a retrospective and descriptive study, with a quantitative approach. The documentary records of the Telehealth Center, which is based on the Mobile Digital Health project, were analyzed from August 2022 to May 2024. Results: The Mobile Digital Health Project was approved in 2022, however, teleconsultations and Telediagnosis began in 2023. The exams are carried out in a mobile structure at the university and sent for reports to the centers of the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the Federal University of Goiás. Thus, since its implementation, 5,405 consultations have already been carried out, Of these: 1,837 electrocardiogram telediagnosis; 1,501 retinography telediagnosis, 734 dermatology teleconsultations, 373 oral cancer screenings and 960 imaging exams in 14 municipalities. 71 training sessions were carried out. Conclusions: The UFVJM Telehealth Center has provided ease of access to health services, tracking diseases and illnesses, reducing queues for consultations and exams in specialties covered by municipal regulations, financial savings for health departments and treatment resolutions in the municipalities served.
