Analysis of sites of the Health Ministry, PAHO and WHO in search of data regarding the incorporation of telehealth in Ecuador. Laws and decrees with this theme were also analyzed. At a preliminary stage, several telehealth actions including some national ones have been carried out, such as the National Connectivity Agenda. But only in 2010 the initial focus of implementation started at the Amazon region and then spreading for all over the country. Also CEDIA - a university network - is now structured and boosting the process of training people and research projects on the topic of telehealth. Concluding, the telehealth actions in the country
are still incipient.
